Huawei held a launch event today to unveil the MateBook X Pro 2024 laptop and FreeBuds Lipstick 2 headphones, as well as more details about HarmonyOS Next. We’re also expecting some details about the upcoming Huawei P70 series, but there’s no mention of the upcoming flagship.
Luckily, a new spy photo of what appears to be the P70 back panel has circulated on Chinese social media Weibo. The new leak is consistent with previous rumors showing off a triangular camera island. The back appears to be made of matte AG glass, while the camera island has a glossy finish.
Huawei P70 back
We expect there to be no fewer than four Huawei P70 models, including the regular P70, Pro, Pro+ and Art versions. Leaked information so far suggests that the P70 features a 6.56-inch quad-curved LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, while the other three models have larger 6.76-inch diagonal displays.
It is rumored that the P70 and P70 Pro will use OmniVision’s 50MP OV50H main sensor with a sensor size of 1/1.3 inches, 1.2μm pixels and variable aperture. P70 Pro+ and P70 Art may use 1-inch IMX989. All four new P70 series phones are expected to run the yet-to-be-released Kirin 9010 chip.
