Dan Clark Audio’s new E3 closed-back headphones

For those who can’t spend less than $2000 on headphones

If you scoff at the $200 earbuds that are so popular right now and can’t stand the sound of closed-back headphones that cost just $500, you’re probably familiar with Dan Clark Audio. For the company at least, the new E3 closed-back headphones sit in the middle of its lineup; they have more expensive models for those who want the best.

The materials are certainly interesting, with aluminum paired with a Gorilla Glass chassis, a nickel-titanium headband paired with leather straps, and earpads made of synthetic leather earcups and suede. They are replaceable, but TechPowerUp strongly recommends not using them as the way they are connected is a critical part of your sound experience.
