Nintendo Switch Online retro gaming updates, plus today’s new releases, sales, and news – TouchArcade

Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade roundup for April 12, 2024. In today’s article we have some news to help us continue. It’s a good thing we’re doing this because it’s not a strong day in any other way. A few new versions were released, but they weren’t particularly good. There are some sales, but not many. It’s an unusual Friday, but probably fits my schedule well today. It was a light read today, but I thought it was still an enjoyable book. Let’s wrap up the week!

Nintendo Switch Online Has Added ‘Super R-Type’ And More

Nintendo has done just about anything with its retro gaming collection in the Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Sometimes you don’t get anything new for weeks, sometimes Nintendo lets you know a game is coming a week in advance, and sometimes we just get stuff coming out of nowhere. Today is one of the last days. Three new pieces of content for you to play in the Super NES app: Super Type R, Wrecking Crew ’98and Amazing Hebraic. The latter two were previously only released in Japan, but you can play them even if you don’t understand Japanese. Of course, there are some interesting options. All you have to do is update your app and you can enjoy your new game.

“Rena Switch Library” digital pre-order now available

Arc System Works America and Project Moon have released a new trailer for their upcoming deck builder and have begun digital pre-orders for the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop. This new console version of Ku Battlers features a Japanese dubbing option that wasn’t present in the original version. The store page mentions hundreds of hours of gameplay. I’ll see how my review turns out. Please stay tuned. Until then, you can pre-order Library of Ruina on Switch for $39.99 ahead of its Western release on April 25.

new version

External Terror ($9.99)

This wave vampire survivor– Inspirational games aren’t going away anytime soon, are they? Here’s another one! It’s not great, but maybe its exploration elements will convince you that it’s worth a try. However, I can’t imagine any reality where I would recommend this vampire survivor or Brottatoboth of which will also put more money in your pocket.

King Krieg Survivor ($5.99)

another general vampire survivor An imitator, and someone who makes the wrong decision to cost more than the real thing. If you’re desperate for another such game, it seems competent enough, but don’t expect anything new or interesting.

Japanese Model Train – JR Freight Edition ($9.99)

These must be doing well enough for the publisher, because this is the fourth one. This issue focuses on Japan Railways’ freight trains. As before, there’s no real game here. It’s more like a digital model train set. Build a diorama, check out all angles of both licensed train types, and more. If this sounds like a good time to you, get started.

Glorious Redeemer ($14.99)

It’s time for KEMCO RPG, another effort from EXE-Create. If you have any experience with this publisher’s work in recent years, you probably know what you’re going to get here. There’s nothing wrong with something like this, but like many of KEMCO’s games, you really don’t feel like you should spend $15 on it.

Cryptocurrency($4.99)

A falling block puzzle game where all the pieces are monsters. You need to match three of the same type to make them disappear, which isn’t an outlandish idea for a game like this. Even more interesting is that the monster pieces you have to deal with each have their own shape. Of course, you also want to build some chain stores. Every once in a while, the boss will come and cause trouble for you. Not bad for a very reasonable price.

Farmer’s Paradise ($5.29)

The other is more of a relaxation exercise than any challenge, Farm Haven Allows you to build your farm the way you like. There aren’t any special restrictions, and you don’t need to worry about gathering resources or anything like that. There is no way to win or lose. Just build a farm. Then start over and build another farm. This is mechanically very similar to other games from this publisher, cozy hamlet, whoever wrote the eShop description forgot to change the name. Is it right for you? I can’t tell you that. Ask your heart.

Trash can group

Colorful Road ($4.99)

Park them all! ($4.00)

Let it fly! ($4.00)

Discovery Adventure ($7.99)

Fight Club ($14.99)

sales volume

(North American e-store, US prices)

Well, this was one of those days. Maybe you’ll find some good stuff in your inbox, but there’s nothing in it that excites me. The weekend outbox is much larger, so you might have a better chance of finding some cool stuff in it. I’ll let you sort it out yourself, though. Well, choose one: Haiku, robot. This is a good thing. The rest is in your hands.

That, my friends, is all for today and this week. We’ll be back next week with more new arrivals, more sales, more reviews, and some news. My trip to the hospital went smoothly, exactly what we hoped the trip to the hospital would be. I have to go back around June, but that’s the schedule these days. Hope you all have a great weekend, and as always, thank you for reading!
