Cross-referencing this model with previously leaked information suggests that this model represents a 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 7 with LTE connectivity, designed specifically for the US market.
While Bluetooth certification confirms that the Galaxy Watch 7 will use Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy (the same as the Galaxy Watch 6), specific details beyond connectivity are still under wraps. However, early reports about the Galaxy Watch 7 point to some significant potential upgrades.
According to reports, Samsung will launch its first 3nm processor in Watch 7, which is an impressive 50% more energy efficient than the current Exynos W930 chip. Even though the battery capacity may be similar to that of the Watch 6, this efficiency increase may significantly extend the battery life of the Watch 7, which is a game-changer for smartwatch owners.
In addition to this, Samsung can also increase the internal storage capacity of the Galaxy Watch 7 to 32GB, which is double the 16GB of the Watch 6.
Going by the typical Samsung release cycle, the Galaxy Watch 7 will likely debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 at a summer event — possibly as early as July.
