T-Mobile has changed its Home Internet Priority data limits. Until earlier this year, Un-Carrier added some minor restrictions that would deprioritize a new user’s data once they exceeded a certain limit. Unfortunately, the Un-operator made a change that extends the policy to all other 5G home internet users.
It’s only a matter of time before T-Mobile extends priority data limits to other home internet users. And today, mobile report Discover that Un-carrier has updated its Fair Use Commitment policy. Internal documents also show that the policy change will take effect on April 10, 2024.
The document says “When customers use more than 1.2TB of data in a billing cycle, they may experience slowdowns during periods of network congestion.”
The data limits are actually quite large, so you don’t have to worry about slowing down your data speeds unless you use a lot of data transfers throughout the month. Nonetheless, this is a policy that is now in place regardless of when you became a home internet customer.
