Dejero will be showcasing its EnGo 3x 5G mobile video transmitter with Gateway mode at NAB. This 2-in-1 device goes beyond live video streaming and leverages network aggregation technology to give news and production teams the ability to access stable, reliable internet from anywhere.
The wireless broadband Internet connectivity provided by Gateway mode increases capacity for data-intensive applications such as newsroom systems or editorial tools; it creates wider coverage; and enhances reliability through connection diversity. It also supports virtual private network (VPN) tunnels for secure access to your organization’s network.
“When you’re uploading or downloading large files to a newsroom or post-production facility, if the connection drops before it’s complete, you often need to do it all over again,” explains Matt Scully, director of product management at DeHero. “Or if your staff are in a remote area with limited network connectivity, they will need to move to another area to find the required reception or find Wi-Fi, taking up work time. Without network connectivity, remote collaboration is very difficulties, resulting in overall production delays. When you’re racing against time, every second counts.”
With EnGo 3x with Gateway mode, remote workers can broadcast breaking news, quickly transfer files to prepare and upload packages in the field, and set up high-bandwidth access points for multiple devices. For film, TV and commercial productions, teams can leverage reliable, ultra-fast connectivity to collaborate in real-time with distributed teams and accelerate the delivery of content from set directly to post-production, regardless of location, reducing the need for on-set personnel and generating significant savings cost.
The EnGo 3x native 5G mobile transmitter features multi-camera support for up to four fully frame-synced HD feeds and features the latest version of Dejero Smart Hybrid technology, which combines all available network connections (broadband/fiber) and wireless (3G/4G/5G and satellite) from multiple providers. Improved algorithms make connections more stable at all latency settings, so users can now stream high-quality live video over a bonded cellular connection with glass-to-glass latency as low as 0.5 seconds.
Using Dejero Control’s cloud-based management system, EnGo devices on site can be geolocated and remotely controlled so users can preview incoming sources, routes and distribution content. Operators can easily monitor usage and performance, set up email notifications of events, and generate detailed reports from any web browser.
Dejero will also showcase the new GateWay 3220; a new resilient, compact network aggregation appliance powered by Dell Technologies that integrates Dejero intelligent hybrid technology to deliver unparalleled reliability for mission-critical mobile connectivity. The rugged, fanless chassis provides resilient connectivity to the internet, cloud applications and private networks, ideal for installation in vehicles and portable kits, and is specifically designed and built to provide optimal hybrid connectivity at the far end of the network.
