The long-awaited Stardew Valley 1.6 update is coming in March, bringing fresh content to your farm

Get ready to dust off your farm tools, Stardew Valley Fans, the long-awaited 1.6 update will be released next month.

The update has a ton of new content and will be officially available to PC players on March 19th. Developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone said console and mobile platforms will receive the update “as soon as possible.”

Can you believe it’s been eight years?

At the same time, the developer also released a celebratory statement, announcing that global sales of “Stardew Valley” have exceeded 30 million copies.

“Today marks the eighth anniversary of Stardew Valley. Thank you all for your support over the years!” Barone said on social media.

“With new updates coming soon, a global concert tour underway, an official cookbook on the way, and with over 30 million copies sold to date, Stardew Valley is thriving more than ever. As always, I’m eternally grateful to the players They made Stardew Valley for us. All of this is possible.”

While the details of much of what’s coming in 1.6 are still being kept under wraps, as Barone always encourages players to discover new features on their own, we do know that there will be a large chest that will hold twice as much storage as a normal chest, which is a big deal. New festivals, two mini-festivals, new items and crafting recipes, over 100 new content, winter clothing for villagers, new rewards for completing billboard requests, new farm types, new secrets, PC support for up to 8 players Multi-player support player play, new end-game content that expands on each skill area, and pet hats.

It has also been suggested that the Scythe tool is about to be upgraded.
