Star Wars Dark Forces Remastered Edition Is Now Available

Kyle Katarn is on the run again

Star Wars: Dark Forces has been a bit difficult in the past, with levels filled with corridors that look more or less the same, keycards to find and match to doors, walls to smash into to find secrets, and plenty of stormtroopers and dark Soldiers need to shoot. While you never get a lightsaber, there are certainly plenty of other interesting weapons to pick up to defeat Imperial forces. For those who haven’t played it the first time, the game’s design from the ’90s can be jarring, even with the graphics improvements.

If you really want to try Dark Forces in 4K and 120Hz, the remaster is worth a look. Ars Technica and Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN both like to refresh memories with more modern graphics and significantly improved performance. RPS was excited to see the addition of the CES demo version of Avengers, but it never made it to the full game, so many people didn’t try it.

If you’re interested, spend about $30 to try it out.
