Jackson Township man uploaded child pornography to internet: prosecutor

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced in a press release on Thursday, February 29, that Ricardo Espinoza Gonzalez, 23, of Jackson Township Gonzalez was charged with possession of child pornography. The investigation began following a tip-off. State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children told the ICAC task force that child pornography was uploaded to the Internet. Investigators with the County Attorney’s Office identified Espinoza Gonzalez through an IP address at a home in Jackson Township.

On Wednesday, February 28, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, the County Attorney’s Office, Jackson Police and Lakewood Police searched the home of Espinoza Gonzalez. Investigators discovered “several pieces of child pornography,” and Espinoza Gonzalez was arrested.

Espinoza Gonzalez is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
