Your USPTO: Next Steps in March 2024

1-day trademark training camp: Attend a one-day, in-person workshop for entrepreneurs, small businesses and start-ups in communities with limited or no internet access covering what they should know about trademarks. The event will be held on March 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET at the UMES Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Princess Anne, Maryland.

This event will explore what a trademark is, the benefits of federal trademark registration, and the basics of the registration process. We will also discuss why choosing a trademark that is both federally registered and legally protected is so important for any new business.

Anyone seeking to pursue this career can hold virtual office hours with a USPTO patent examiner at noon ET on March 13 and at the same time on March 20.
