Xiaomi Mi Watch S3 for review

Xiaomi launched the Watch S3 to a global audience at the MWC keynote in Barcelona. The wearable is now available for us to review in silver, and since the device is completely custom-made, we also have two bezels (yellow and green) and their matching straps.

The Mi S3 comes with a proprietary charger with two pogo pins instead of a wireless charger. Unlike its Watch 2 series sibling, this wearable doesn’t have WearOS and instead comes with HyperOS, which means there are no additional apps to download, at least for now.

The screen is a 1.43-inch OLED and is very responsive to swipes and touches. It’s packaged in a 47mm body, but the wearable feels light and unobtrusive on the wrist.[esandtouchesItispackedwithina47mmbodybutthewearablefeelslightandunintrusiveonthewrist[esandtouchesItispackedwithina47mmbodybutthewearablefeelslightandunintrusiveonthewrist

There are two buttons on the right side of the Watch S3 – the top button is used to return to or from the home screen, and the bottom button sets various functions and is set to workout mode by default. The bezel does not rotate, it is just a fashion accessory.

Navigation seems simple – swipe down to display notifications, and swipe up to use the control panel. There are also several cards that can be accessed with a side swipe.

The back of the watch is equipped with a 12-channel heart rate monitor, which supports all-day heart rate, stress and blood oxygen saturation monitoring. It also provides breathing exercises and women’s health predictions.

We’ll make sure to test the wearable and see how it performs in daily use, and make a judgment on whether the €150 price tag is justified.
