The Nothing Phone (2a) is now available and offers most of the features of the Nothing Phone (2) at a lower price. Nothing says it leverages Nothing’s expertise in engineering and craftsmanship to deliver the best everyday experience possible.
Before we talk about the specs, let’s talk about the design. The Phone (2a) features Nothing’s first in-house smartphone design concept, created in 2020, just months after Nothing launched.
Key to the design is the dual camera system, which sits inside the NFC coil and forms what Nothing calls the “eyes.” The back panel of the phone wraps around the edges at a 90-degree angle, making the device more resistant to drops. The back is available in black, white or “milk”.
Nothing Phone (2a) features Nothing’s signature Glyph interface with 26 individually addressable zones. These three lights support glyph timers, notifications, glyph torches, and glyph progress.

Nothing Phone (2a) uses the Dimensity 7200 Pro chip co-designed with MediaTek. The SoC is built using TSMC’s latest 4nm process, and the processor frequency can reach up to 2.8GHz.
First of all, the phone is equipped with a 6.78-inch 10-bit AMOLED with a resolution of 1084x2412px, a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, and a refresh rate of 30-120Hz. The phone runs Nothing OS 2.5 on top of Android 14 and promises 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
There are three cameras in total – a dual 50MP system on the rear, and the same 32MP f/2.2 selfie (1/2.74-inch) as on the Nothing Phone (2). The main camera is a 50MP f/1.88 (1/1.56-inch sensor) wide-angle camera with OIS and a 50MP f/2.2 (1/2.76-inch sensor) fixed-focus ultra-wide-angle camera.
Nothing Phone (2a) is equipped with the largest battery in its class, with a capacity of 5,000mAh. The charging power is up to 45W, which can charge to 50% in 23 minutes and 100% in 59 minutes. There’s no indication that the battery will retain 90% of its capacity after 1,000 charge cycles or more than three years of daily use.
The Nothing Phone (2a) is available for pre-order on Nothing.tech starting today and will ship from March 12th. Globally, it will be available in two variants – the base variant with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage and will be priced at €329, £319 or INR 23,999. The higher tier has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and costs €379 / £349 / INR 27,999. India will also get an exclusive 8/256GB model priced at INR 25,999.
