Get ready to pay more for your Google Fi service soon. The company is changing rates on some unlimited plans.
On a Google Fi help page, the company announced that it is adjusting rates for its Simply Unlimited plan. While little changes for subscribers with two or fewer lines, prices are rising for groups with three or more lines.
Starting today, 3 lines will cost $90 per month, an increase of $10 from before the price increase. Next, 4 lines will be $20 more expensive, or $100 per month. Five lines now cost $125 per month (previously $100), and six lines cost $150 per month (previously $120).
Although the service will be more expensive than before, Google says the program’s offerings will remain the same. The company also mentioned that “Simple Unlimited accounts that activate one or more long-term promotions or financing devices before March 5, 2024 will remain at the same effective price until those commitments end.”
If you are an existing subscriber, there will be no changes to your bill this month. The company said the change will be reflected on bills issued after April 4, 2024.
Fortunately, the Simply Unlimited plan appears to be the only one affected. Prices for flexible plans and unlimited add-on plans remain unchanged.
