iQOO Neo9 racing version will be launched soon, specifications leaked

So far, iQOO’s Neo9 family has consisted of the eponymous Neo9 and Neo9 Pro, but now it looks like a third member is coming. According to prolific and usually reliable Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station, vivo’s sub-brand is developing a new Neo9, which could be called the Neo9 Racing Edition.

It will feature a 6.78-inch 1260×2800 flat touchscreen with 144 Hz refresh rate and 2160 Hz pulse width modulation. The camera system will feature a 50 MP main camera and is described overall as a “relatively balanced mid-range camera.” So, in other words, don’t expect flagship-level camera performance.

Interestingly, the racing version is said to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and thus could be one of the first smartphones to feature this new SoC. It will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone will also get 120W fast charging support. It is expected to be officially launched in China next month, so stay tuned.
