Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What can listeners do in a Spotify group meeting?

Invited listeners can choose to listen on their own devices or on a public device such as a Bluetooth speaker. Anyone in the jam can add songs to the queue, pause, skip, and control jam volume from their device, as long as the host turns on these permissions and you’re using a compatible device.

Q: Can you chat in a Spotify group session?

Users will need to use a third-party solution to actually chat, as there is no built-in way to message other Premium users in a Spotify group session.

Spotify Jam eliminates the need to pass around your phone at a party so everyone can add their favorite songs to the queue, allowing friends or significant others to connect with each other over music from any distance and inevitably leading you Discover songs you love that would never have been heard if someone didn’t add them to their queue. The feature’s ease of use and convenience make it the perfect way for Spotify users to hang out together.
