GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – Foner Park has canceled its final five games for Saturday due to network issues.
CEO Chris Kotulak told Local4 that Games 6 through 10 had to be canceled because the system they use to process bets and payouts was offline. Kotulak said AmTote, the provider of the service, blamed the problem on one of its Internet service providers.
The Paulick Report, a horse racing industry news service, reports that there are also problems at racetracks across the country, including in Florida and California.
Kotulak said the system came back online around 7 p.m. Saturday, and Fonner Park staff worked overnight to repair the betting terminals. Late Sunday afternoon, Kotulak said Sunday’s game would proceed as normal.
Kotulak also said anyone holding tickets to Saturday’s canceled game would be eligible for a refund.
