Google Gemini (formerly Google Bard) is the name of Google’s artificial intelligence model and the applications we use to interact with it. With updates rolling out regularly, Gemini is Google’s answer to OpenAI ChatGPT, microsoft copilotwhatever that is Apple is working onand all the other generative AI tools now grabbing our attention.

1) Check the draft
Each time you issue a prompt to Google Gemini, you’ll receive a series of drafts in return, although only one is displayed immediately – you can click Show draft The button in the upper right corner allows you to click on other AI-generated answer variations.
Based on our testing, the alternative draft may not be that different from the original draft, depending on what your prompt is and how many ways to answer it. You can also use the respawn button on the far right (the reload flag) to make Gemini rethink.
2) Modify response
You don’t have to accept Gemini’s first answer.Alternatively, you can ask it to regenerate a new response from scratch (by clicking Show draft Then there’s the reload button on the far right). You can also click the Modify Response button (three sliders) below each answer.
This button opens a new menu where you can select shorter, longer, simpler, More casualand More Professional. If these options don’t include the modifications you’d like to make, you can always request a change (e.g. “Make it more interesting” in the next prompt).
3) Paste and copy
You don’t have to type everything you want to say to Gemini, you can easily paste text from your clipboard and other programs. You can then rewrite the text in a new style, summarize it to length, or analyze it in any way you need.
When it comes to getting text from Gemini, the easiest way is copy option, which you can find after the three dots at the end of each answer. You can then paste Gemini’s responses into a web form, document, email, instant message, or whatever you like.
4) Get pictures
As we write this article, Gemini’s image creation capabilities have pause. Presumably, they’ll be back at some point, but in the meantime, you can still upload your own images and analyze them through the Gemini web interface.
This is best for finding out what’s in the image or summarizing something, but you can ask any questions you want – you can even request tips on how to improve the image.Think of it as an upgraded version of what Google Lens can do it with images.
5) Share your chat history
Geminis can easily share your conversations with others, but you need to be cautious about sharing anything that contains personal or sensitive information. Below each reply there is a share and export button that looks like a less than sign.
From the pop-up menu, you can send your reply directly to Gmail or Google Docs.You can also click share Create a public link to an individual reply or an entire conversation that you can then share anywhere.
6) Cover your tracks
Gemini follows the lead of many other Google products when it comes to managing your data, and if you click Activity In the left navigation pane. You’ll see recently entered prompts and options for managing your data.
Click X Delete it, or click next to any item delete Learn about more options (such as deleting the last hour or day of activity).Click Select automatic deletion option Automatically wipe your data after a period of time, or close Prevent Gemini from collecting data.
7) Change Google Assistant
It’s likely that Google Assistant will be replaced (or merged) with Google Gemini at some point in the future, but while we wait for that to happen, you can already set it up Google Gemini for Android Acts as the default digital assistant on Android phones.
