Last year, Poco launched two “flagship killers”: the F5 and F5 Pro, with the former proving to be more popular due to its higher value for money. It looks like we’ll get two more products this year, with the F6 Pro already starting its certification journey.
A “normal” non-Pro F6 is also coming, but it’s going to be a lot of work since the F5 is a pretty hard product to follow. Still, it will try, apparently using the yet-to-be-released Qualcomm SM8635, which will likely be called the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or 8s Gen 2 when it finally launches officially on March 18.

The F6 Pro, on the other hand, will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, if it’s just a rebranded Redmi K70, as is now rumored. If all of this is accurate, it’ll be interesting to see the performance differences between the two, as the “normal” model may once again be the better choice.
Poco F6 has model number 24069PC21G internationally and 24069PC21I in India. Interestingly, the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo for the Chinese market has model number 24069RA21C, which strongly suggests that the Poco F6 will be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 Turbo.
Additionally, the Poco F6 is reportedly codenamed “Peridot,” which is a yellow ruby, while Redmi Note series devices are often codenamed with gemstone names – so this could just be yet another speculated confirmation of the aforementioned rebranding.
Regardless, we’ll likely know the answer within a few weeks, since after Qualcomm officially launches the SM8635, many Chinese smartphone manufacturers will likely want to quickly release new devices using it. Redmi should be one of them and then Poco can market its model to an international audience. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when we learn more.
