Frederick S. Wendelken’s “Typewriter” patent, granted on November 22, 1898, is a display of the invention that adorns the wall of the Texas District Office of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Dallas one.
The Texas Regional Office is located in the Terminal Annex Federal Building downtown and serves Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Tennessee State provides services. It opened on November 9, 2015, the same year the “Lone Star State” became Texas’ official nickname.
In January, the Texas Regional Office will host a virtual Trademark Boot Camp. Module 1 of the series begins on January 9th at 2-3:30 pm ET, with subsequent modules starting at the same time every Tuesday.
