Final Fantasy 7 Reborn’s Gongaga region sucks

I’m trying to pass Final Fantasy VII Reborn Most of the time I enjoyed my time in the vast open world, even if I did miss the more linear and guided feel FF7 remakeIt’s Midgar. But about 45 hours after beating the game, I arrived in Gongaga, a maze-like jungle area filled with mushrooms and giant trees, and I quickly began to regret my plan to 100% cover every open-world area. FF7 reborn.

A little background on me, Zack Zwiezen.Regular readers may already know this, but I’m not final fantasy People are fundamental. I’ve only played and completed two games in the series: FF7 remake and core of crisis Remake.I also played for an hour FF15 and about four hours of stranger in paradise. That’s it.

However, I enjoyed it FF7 remake and core of crisis! I like Aerith, Tifa, Barret, and even Cloud.so i’m excited to play rebirth Find out what happens next for these characters.

I know too rebirthunlike remake, will be a bigger game with a large open world area that I can’t ignore. That’s because my brain is wired in such a way that I have to complete all the checklists in these big games. Plus, I love all the rewards and XP I get.I also have to be honest with myself: I’m unlikely to play rebirth again. I don’t have time to go back and play a large RPG like this freely. So if this is my only experience FF7 rebornI committed to almost everything in it from the beginning.

For the first 40 hours or so, everything was fine. I have no regrets about anything I did in every region.Of course, some open world activities and Games It’s not great, or even boring, but nothing too annoying, and the good moments are frequent enough that I can handle the situation.

Then I got to Gongaga and the game nearly broke me and my plan to collect all world intel in every region was shattered.

Gong Gaga sucks, is annoying, and not fun at all

I wonder if Gongaga is interesting in the original work FF7 Or if it’s hated. I do not care. What I can tell you is that this area is chocobo shit. First of all, its music is the worst of any area I’ve visited so far. This is an annoying song that loops over and over and feels like it was ripped from a menu Civilization 3. It wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t running aimlessly through a claustrophobic forest, hearing this damn song over and over again while trying to figure out where to go in this multi-level forest maze.

Unlike other open world areas FF7 reborn So far, Gongaga is filled with overlapping paths, trails, caves, trees, and other areas.

Now, if you just need to climb up the ladder or yellow rock Arriving in these areas, I don’t mind too much. But no, instead, you have to use giant bouncy mushrooms to fly yourself and your chocobos across the map. This is too bad.

Even worse: the mushrooms don’t directly tell you where you’ll land, and unlike the next area – Cosmic Canyon – you have zero ability to control the bird in flight. So you land where the game wants you to land, and that’s usually not where you want to land. Sometimes just finding the right mushroom takes too long as you’re running around trying to find a tree-covered or vine-covered path or cave to get to the right height in this scary place.

The map is of no help, I can only refer to the guide

Good luck relying on Gongaga’s map. Until the game reaches this point, rebirthof Maps are useless most of the time. However, in this jungle nightmare it was almost useless and sometimes led me in the wrong direction. Eventually, I gave up and just looked online for some last minute information on how to gain world intelligence instead of banging my head against the wall for another hour.

Oh, it’s different from other areas rebirth There you could at least ride your chocobo around the map, but Gongaga’s narrow paths, endless trees, and annoying design mean you simply can’t do that. Instead, prepare to hear your chocobo cry out in agony over and over again as you hit every damn branch, bush, boulder, vine, and bush that exists in this green hell.

Yes, I also enjoyed the reactor dungeon and main quest in this area, but it doesn’t make up for everything else. Not even close. not at all.

I’m not the only one with a hatred for Gongaga! After completing the area and arriving at Cosmo Canyon (which I loved 1000 times more) I looked online and found many, many people complaining about how annoying it was to explore Gongaga.

So let me be the first to give you 100% permission to look up some guides and videos on Gongaga so you can limit your time in this shit place and enjoy the rest of your time rebirth instead.
