Earlier today, OnePlus launched the Ace 3V in China, powered by the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. In fact, it’s the first phone to ship with this newly announced SoC.
However, Redmi was not impressed. Its official Weibo account posted the image you can see below in response. It clearly shows that 8 is better than 7, it’s not a subtle attack at all. Basically, Redmi tells us that the Snapdragon 8-series chipsets perform better than the 7-series chipsets.
And wouldn’t you know it, coincidence of coincidences, Redmi itself is launching a new device next month powered by a Snapdragon 8 series SoC! Specifically, we’re talking about the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which was officially announced last week. This could be the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which is rumored to be sold internationally as Poco F6.
Apparently, Redmi is confident about its upcoming product and thinks it will be better than the OnePlus Ace 3V, at least in terms of the chipset used. In fact, Redmi promises to “reinvent mid-range performance” with this device. So we’re eager to learn more about it in April. stay tuned.
