New Delhi: Everyone deserves a safe working environment at the workplace. For this woman, the nightmare came true after she had a bizarre moment involving her boss. She shared on Reddit that her boss calls her “princess.” Yes, you read that right!
Reddit post goes viral
“My boss sends me WhatsApp messages and he calls me princess and girl. His general behavior towards me has become erratic for almost a year. Sometimes he messages me first thing in the morning and calls me Me princess, say have a nice day etc,” the woman wrote on Reddit.
“When I ignored this or him, he started ignoring me and trapped me in the office. He would not assign any work to me directly and even some small things would be told to me by my seniors. I feel bad about this behavior Very distressed. He is doing all this as an excuse to treat me as his daughter. However, this is taking a toll on my mental health. Please help,” the woman’s post on Reddit further read.
Netizen reaction
Several netizens reacted to the woman’s post and urged her to report her boss’ behavior to human resources. “Please keep screenshots of these messages and report them to HR. This is harassment. He has no right to send you non-work personal messages or call you any such names,” one social media user wrote.
Another social media user wrote: “Make sure his number is visible in all text messages or WhatsApp chats.” Another user wrote: “Don’t just keep the screenshot, he can claim it’s fake and use another Use a cell phone to take your cell phone photos.”
“He’s definitely flirting with you and thinks he has a chance. I know you feel the same way, which is why this post exists. What next? As someone said, keep the receipts just in case,” the woman wrote in another comment on the Reddit post.
