After hours of preparation for Hellraiser 2’s latest big order to drop, players appear to be receiving conflicting reports as to whether they actually own it.

Uh, okay, so this is going to be a weird thing. After Helldivers 2 spent the last bit preparing for the game’s latest major order to drop (probably due to all the issues plaguing the game this week), it looks like they’re now receiving conflicting reports as to whether they do or don’t.

Yes, they are just as confused as you are. And I don’t just mean people who’ve been hoping that the game’s mechas would one day be idiots. To be honest, though, that’s probably not that surprising considering the issues that have been plaguing the game’s Galaxy War liberation percentage.

Now that few of the Prime Orders are left to liberate Fori Prime and Zagon Prime, players have expressed their heartfelt reactions to their failure to complete the task. Beyond that, the notification they received seemed to say two different things depending on the circumstances.

For every player who posted that they were alerted to a major order failure, they seemed to receive just as many shares claiming that the community had actually successfully completed the order. The game’s official Discord server is packed with people who have had the same thing happen to them, and they’re naturally equally outraged.

As of this writing, Arrowhead doesn’t appear to be directly addressing the issue or explaining why this is the case. However, since things were definitely going to fail, it seems to be assumed that the notification indicating the success of the main order was most likely the result of a mistake.

Now, as I mentioned before, there were a lot of issues with the game this week that arguably didn’t allow the gaming community to really succeed in this latest mission. After all, it’s hard to finish a game if it freezes halfway through, right?

That said, the likelihood of Arrow intervening in some way seems rather low. In response to a player in the Discord server asking if the developers could do anything about major orders (as these issues arguably don’t bring a fair resolution to the community), community manager Twinbeard appears to have effectively done so earlier today. This possibility is ruled out.

They write: “Putting the gaming terminology aside for a moment, no matter how strange it may sound, galactic warfare is so complex that even we ourselves are more or less forced to obey. Even though we can influence the outcome in some cases, That’s not what we want. When a complex chain of events happens, we, the players, have to react. We don’t simply push a button and make things change dramatically. Technical glitches are certainly special, but regardless Whatever the situation, it’s up to us to win or lose. This may sound cruel, but in my opinion, it makes Hellraiser 2 more believable and worth the investment.”

In the meantime, it seems that a new main order has been issued, so while waiting for confirmation, I guess you can start execution.
