TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Two separate issues that caused problems for Kansas state agencies across the state were resolved Thursday.
On March 21, multiple government agencies in Kansas reported Internet issues. Meanwhile, issues involving DMV facilities have also been reported at the state level, Newsnation reported.Most of the issues Kansas State was experiencing were reportedly resolved by 4 p.m.
Allie Denning, director of public affairs for the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS), told KSN that two separate issues were reported on March 21. The first involves the status of the Kansas Internet network maintained by OITS. Internet access was temporarily disrupted due to hardware issues, she said. The issue was resolved at 4:15pm and all services were restored.
The second question regarding nationwide DMV service outages relates to the outage first reported by the American Association of Motor Vehicles Administrators (AAMVA). Denning also confirmed that the issue has been resolved.
A network outage affecting multiple DMV offices across the country has been resolved. The Treasurer’s Office is able to process motor vehicles and driver’s licenses today. “
