Realme 12+ 5G up for review

We’ve had our first look at the Realme 12+ 5G, but now it’s time to review it.

Let’s first review what’s in the box. The phone comes with a silicone case, 67W charger, SIM tool and data cable. We call it a complete retail package.

The Realme 12+ comes in two colors: Pioneer Green (which we’ve seen before and is more like turquoise or teal) and Navigation Beige. Both feature faux leather backs (silicon polymer, if you want to get technical), which won’t be to everyone’s taste, but we attested to its superior performance in terms of grip and handling.

While equally grippy, the slick side rails became grubby and greasy after about 10 minutes out of the box, which wasn’t ideal.

We’ve discussed the Realme 12+’s specs in detail several times, so we won’t review them in detail again. Suffice it to say, it’s one of the better mid-range offerings in its class with better specs – a big 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display – check it out. Efficient 6nm Dimensity 7050 chipset – check, Big 5,000mAh battery – check. Throw in a few niceties like IP54 splash resistance and stereo speakers, and Android 14 out of the box, and there’s nothing to complain about.
