Deals: Amazon Holi Fiesta drops iQOO Z9 and Neo9 Pro prices, Moto Razrs get big discounts

To celebrate the festival, Amazon will host Holi Carnival from March 21 to 26. It has some great discounts on older phones, as well as deals on brand new models, plus we’ve picked out some tablets too.

iQOO Z9 was launched last week. It is a mid-range phone powered by Dimensity 7200 processor and equipped with a 6.67-inch 120Hz FHD+ OLED display. The 50MP main camera has OIS (but no ultra-wide-angle camera), and there’s a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging and IP54 dust and water resistance.

The iQOO Neo9 Pro is a bit older (from February) but offers the power of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Rs 30-40,000 range. You can get double the storage space for just Rs 2,000 more. In addition to the powerful chip, the phone also features a 6.78-inch 144Hz LTPO display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels, a 50MP camera with a larger 1/1.49-inch sensor (with OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The 5,160mAh battery charges super fast and has a power of 120W.

The Lava O2 was unveiled this week and is now available for pre-order. The phone, priced under Rs 10,000, features 4G connectivity (Unisoc T616 chipset) and a 6.5-inch 90Hz IPS LCD with HD+ resolution. It has expandable storage and a microSD slot, as well as a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging.

The Honor Pad 9 was first announced in December but took a while to arrive in India, so pre-orders are now open. The tablet features a 12.1-inch IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and comes with 8 speakers and an 8,300mAh battery with 35W charging support. We’ll look at more tablets later.

Motorola’s foldable phones are heavily discounted – the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is down 42% and the vanilla Razr 40 is down 55%. The Ultra brings a better chipset (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 vs. 7 Gen 1) and a larger 3.6-inch overlay display (compared to the Line display).

The Honor 90 has a 200MP camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor (but no OIS). There’s no dedicated zoom lens, but the in-sensor zoom is pretty good. There’s also a 12MP ultra-wide angle and (even more impressively) a 50MP selfie camera with a 100° wide-angle lens. Both the front and rear cameras can record 4K video at 30fps. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 “Accelerated Edition” features a 6.7-inch 120Hz display (1,200 x 2,664px, 10-bit) and a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging.

For about the same price, you can buy the iQOO Neo 7 Pro. The phone trades camera prowess for a more powerful chipset – the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. To be fair, the 50MP main camera is decent (1/1.57” sensor, OIS), and there’s an 8MP ultrawide camera alongside it, although the 16MP selfie camera looks pretty basic. The 6.78-inch OLED panel also has a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color, But the resolution is lower at FHD+. The 5,000mAh battery charges faster at 120W.

The iQOO Z6 Lite is an older model but offers 5G connectivity and is priced a little over Rs 10,000 (Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset). It features a 6.58-inch 120Hz IPS LCD (FHD+) and 50MP camera, along with a 5,000mAh battery (18W charging).

A Rs 300 coupon is enough to bring the price of Poco M6 Pro 5G under Rs 10,000. As you probably know, this is one of the cheapest 5G phones out there. It uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and offers a large 6.79-inch IPS LCD (FHD+, 90Hz). It has a 50MP camera on the back and an 8MP camera on the front, both of which are capped at 1080p video shooting. The 5000mAh battery supports 18W fast charging.

If your budget is lower, you can ditch 5G and buy the Poco C55. It runs on the older Helio G85 chipset, and its 6.71-inch IPS LCD only has HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. On the plus side, it has expandable storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fairly large (but slow) 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

We’ll come back to tablets. Xiaomi Mi Pad 6 uses the old golden Snapdragon 870, and its price is about the same as Honor Pad 9. Its IPS LCD is smaller at 11 inches, but it still has 10-bit color and runs faster at 144Hz. There are four speakers on board and a comparable 8,840mAh battery with 33W charging power.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is a pricier option with a 10.9-inch IPS LCD (90Hz this time) and an Exynos 1380. This product is powered by an 8,000mAh battery, which, unlike Samsung, charges 45W faster than the competition.
