Star Wars Jedi: Survivors developer reportedly working on a Mandalorian game

The Mandalorian has long been a part of the Star Wars canon, although it’s obviously thanks to the Disney+ series The Mandalorian that made them so popular. Now, it looks like we’ll be seeing The Mandalorian in video game form, with Insider Gaming reporting that Respawn is working on another game set in the Stars universe, this time starring a Mandalorian bounty hunter. According to Insider Gaming’s sources, the game will be a first-person game that puts you in the role of a Mandalorian in the era of the Galactic Empire, some time between the end of Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi.

Obviously, you’ll have to utilize a variety of weapons and gadgets to capture bounties, dead or alive, for cash rewards, such as wrist rockets, grappling hooks, goggles for marking enemies and bounties, and more – we’ve already seen A lot of that stuff is already in The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian’s iconic jetpack allows players to move quickly, which will apparently be “very fast-paced.” Insider Gaming also reports that this won’t be an open world, but a linear, level-based world that takes place on various Star Wars planets.

A release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s expected to be at least a year or two away; multiplayer isn’t confirmed yet. As early as 2022, Respawn announced that it would develop three Star Wars projects, one of which is 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivors, the second is a strategy game, and the third is a first-person shooter, so Insider Gaming The reports that this is true are at least consistent with this. Regardless, shooters will likely see the light of day at some point, so it probably won’t be too long before we find out what exactly this project is.
