Boosteroid is another service that lets you play games on cloud servers. The service is European-focused and most prices are in Euros. In the United States, servers are available in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Texas, Illinois, Florida, and Washington. The app is available on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, and Linux, but while you can get it on Android, you can’t get it on iPhone. The app is also only available for Android TV and webOS for smart TVs, and you can use it on the Chrome or Opera browsers.

That being said, with the lower-tier options, you only have the option of playing the game at 1080p resolution, with a stated maximum of 60 FPS. For those with poor internet connections, there is no option for lower resolutions. Higher tiers offer 4K gaming at up to 120 FPS, although this option is new.

While there are plenty of free games to choose from, such as World of Tanks, League of Legends, or Genshin Impact, you have to enter a Steam key or purchase the game through Boosteroid’s partnership with Fanatical. While you can sync your Steam account on Boosteroid, it’s slightly simpler than GeForce Now, which lets you link to more game-launching services. Nonetheless, the Boosteroid server does offer a large selection of well-known and new games.

Booster does offer Xbox PC games such as starry sky This is thanks to a deal signed with Microsoft last year. The overall selection is pretty good, but as always, you may not find what you’re looking for at all times. Of course, this means you’ll have to pay for the game separately on top of what you’ve already paid for Boosteroid.

Also annoying is that you have to sign up for Boosteroid before you can see the list of available games. Signing up is free, but it does make the act of buying cloud games a little more annoying.

Price

A Standard monthly subscription The monthly cost is US$10.72 (€9.89) and the annual fee is US$97.40 (US$89.89). The more expensive version offering 4K and 120 FPS costs $19.38 (€17.89) or $97.40 ($89.89) every six months.

Other considerations

Boosteroid does provide a handy tool to test your internet connection to the nearest or farthest available server. However, it’s still limited compared to competing services like GeForce Now. It’s a lot cheaper than other services, but only a few bucks a month, and even cheaper if you buy the one-year option.
