Original text: March 27, 2024 (3:53 a.m. ET): Something strange is happening with the alarm clock on Pixel phones. A bug caused Google Assistant to delete all alarms on Pixel phones when told to “turn off all alarms.” Ideally, such a command should simply disable all active alerts. Instead, Assistant deletes saved alarms entirely, no matter how many alarms you have set.

This question was first brought to our attention by Artem Russakovskii, who release Regarding the issues encountered on Pixel 8 Pro. We did some more digging and checked to see if the bug exists on other Pixel or non-Pixel phones. We found that telling the Assistant to turn off all alarms deleted all saved alarms, not just on the Pixel 8 series but also on the Pixel 7 series. We don’t have any other older Pixels on hand, but it’s likely that this issue affects all of them.

We issued the same voice command to Google Assistant on the OPPO Find X5 and the Xiaomi smart speaker, but the device retained the saved alarm. So, for now, it seems the issue only exists on Pixel devices.

Another user on X (formerly Twitter) comfirmed They first noticed this issue on Pixel phones two months ago.

We will contact Google to learn more about the situation. Until then, try not to tell the Google Assistant on your Pixel phone or linked smart speaker to turn off all alarms.
