yesterday, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (Remastered) (Free) Following its release on PC and consoles last year, it has become a hit on iOS and Android platforms worldwide. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective This is not the first time the game has been released on iOS.In fact, aside from the original Nintendo DS version, the only way to play Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Officially launched on iOS. Read our review of the day here. The iOS version was pulled this month to make way for a remastered version, simply titled Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. I’ve loved this game for a long time and never pass up an opportunity to recommend it, but this mobile version has a lot to cover. How come? Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Getting older? Does it work well on modern iOS devices? Is it still worth buying if you already own the original version? I’ll answer all of these questions in my review, comparing the mobile version to the Switch (read Shaun’s review here ) and the Steam Deck.

If you haven’t played Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Previously, just go and download the iOS version or demo for any platform. Stop reading this article and just do it. I promise it’s worth it.if you were still here Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a puzzle adventure game produced by Capcom, written by the most famous Ace Lawyer Franchise. As the name suggests, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Let you play a ghost (Sissel) with special abilities. As Sissel, you can switch between the real and ghost worlds, “trick” and interact with certain objects to alter specific outcomes, and try to get to the bottom of your murder. After a brief introduction, not only to tell the story but also to give you a tutorial, the real game begins. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective It’s narrated so well that you’ll definitely revisit the story after watching it with a new perspective.

I mentioned interacting with objects and the environment, that’s basically how the game is played Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. You use ghost tricks to solve puzzles, use phone lines to find more victims you want to save, and more.Cast Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective even better than Ace Lawyer But I want to give a special mention to Missile and Lynne. More than a decade after debuting on DS and iOS, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective It never goes out of style and is a must-have if you like adventure games.

When it comes to this particular remake, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Featuring higher resolution visuals, smoother frame rates and galleries. The gallery includes artwork and music that are unlocked as you progress through the main game. On consoles and PC, there are pre-order or early purchase bonuses, which appear to be included on mobile and available when you buy the full game unlocked. For those who missed out on the early purchase or pre-order period, this specific early purchase bonus is available on PC and consoles for $1.99. It includes some songs and borders. Speaking of borders, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective The aspect ratio on mobile devices is the same as 16:9, and games also run in their older aspect ratio. This produces a mobile-specific border with a subtly animated design and various borders included.

Another highlight of this event Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Remastered is a new arrangement option for the 2023 soundtrack. If you’re a fan of the original and want that music, you can switch it in-game.It’s the original soundtrack Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Always amazing, but I can’t imagine how good the new version ends up being. Everything sounds better with this remaster. In fact, if you haven’t listened to the original since its DS days or the original iOS version’s release, the new remastered soundtrack may sound like your fond memories of the original. Kitagawa Yasumasa’s incredible remake of Sugimori Masakazu’s original score.

When it comes to platform differences, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective The iOS and Android versions are based on last year’s PC and console versions. In fact, it basically feels like it’s running in a new wrapper to account for the different aspect ratios on mobile devices. Aside from the aspect ratio/bezel differences and loading times, it feels basically the same as playing on Switch or Steam Deck. The loading speed on iOS is very fast, faster than on Switch.Back when I was playing Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective On the Steam Deck, Xbox, and Switch last year, the Switch version of the OLED model was my favorite way to experience games using touch controls. Now, I’d say the iOS version is better, but there’s a caveat about the bezels.

While it’s not needed given the excellent touch control capabilities, controller support on iOS is simply non-existent at the moment. I tested this with my Xbox, PS5, and 8BitDo controllers, but none of them worked in the game. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Featuring the same touch controls as the Switch version, there are no changes to button sizes or anything. Touch controls work as they should, but some buttons could be larger or have better touch targets on a smaller screen.

The biggest problem is the lack of cloud saves. Capcom’s description even mentions that save data will be deleted if the app is deleted. I couldn’t find a way to sync my saves between devices, and after playing a game on my iPhone, I basically had to play it again on my iPad.I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve played it Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Across all platforms so far. If you do plan to play games on mobile devices, I recommend sticking to one platform for your main games.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective PC and consoles are priced at $29.99.Considering the first one, many people scoffed at the price Ace Attorney Trilogy Three full games cost just as much, but I’d say Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Much more worth it. On iOS, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Giving you a free trial of the first two chapters. You can then use a single in-app purchase to essentially buy the rest of the game. This purchase is now discounted to $19.99. I expect the price to increase to $24.99 after the early purchase period ends on April 3rd.Try before you buy is a great system designed specifically for Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Not only because there are demos available for all consoles and PCs, but also because this will allow existing owners of the older (now unlisted) version to download it and see if the visual upgrades and extra content on offer are worth the asking price of the upgrade. Check out the image below to see how the game looks on my iPhone 15 Pro compared to an older version on the same device.

I hope Capcom adds better bezel options, actual full screen display, cloud save support, and controller support on modern iOS devices in potential future updates. That’s my only complaint with this version.Controller support isn’t really needed, but because Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective There is controller and touch support on Switch, why was the feature removed on iOS? iCloud save support is really nice since I usually enjoy playing these games on my iPhone and iPad. The bezels are probably the most disappointing thing about this version. While 16:9 displays on consoles already have to deal with bezels, it’s baffling that Capcom is adding extra bezels on a mobile device instead of opting to use a larger version of the existing bezels.

If you already own and complete the previous game, I don’t think this version is worth buying just for the extra content.if you want to play Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective For the first time on mobile devices, it’s definitely worth your time and money.if you already have Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective On another platform, there’s nothing new here.if you love as much as i do Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective and just want to buy it to support the game on another platform, you probably already do that and don’t need to read this review.

I love Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Too much. I’ve bought every version of it over the years, including multiple copies of the DS game. It’s always been a 5/5 game with a great story, characters, puzzles and music, so unfortunately this new version from Capcom is a bit lacking in economy when it comes to handling modern mobile screen sizes and lack of cloud.I’m glad we have a version Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective on mobile devices with support for modern devices and operating systems, but there are areas where Capcom should have done better.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective Remastered iOS Rating: 4.5/5
