Your USPTO: Next Steps in April 2024

Trademark basic knowledge training camp: Units 3, 4, and 5 of these free, informative virtual courses are scheduled for mid-to-late April on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 pm ET.

Module 3 on April 16 will focus on important principles related to federal trademark license searches and the effective use of the USPTO trademark database. Module 4, held on April 23, will cover the requirements for an initial trademark application. Module 5 on April 30 will focus on the USPTO’s Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS), including a live demonstration of trademark filing.Register early and pass uspto.gov/events.

One-day patent training camp: This one-day, in-person workshop for entrepreneurs, small businesses and inventors in communities with limited or no internet access will cover tools, techniques and resources for understanding the patent application process.
