Redmi 13 gets 5000mAh battery certification

The Redmi Note 13 series is quite extensive and includes no less than 7 devices, but the Xiaomi sub-brand doesn’t seem to stop at the number 13. In fact, it is working on the Redmi 13 (without the “Note”), which is a lower-end model compared to the Notes.

Redmi 13 has passed FCC certification and has been spotted on the IMEI database. It will run HyperOS 1.0 out of the box, with Android 14 underneath.

The phone will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery with charging power of up to 33W. The battery is certified with a rated capacity of 4,930 mAh, which should translate into a commercially available “typical” capacity of 5,000 mAh.

No other specs have been revealed through the certification process, but we do know the model number: 24049RN28L, which is odd because it doesn’t end in “C” (for China), “G” (for global markets), or “I” (for India) , as usual with Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco models. So it’s unclear exactly where it will launch. However, given the FCC certification, it will hardly be limited to China.

Redmi 13 will be the successor of Redmi 12 released in June last year. It comes with a 6.79-inch 90 Hz LCD display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, 2/4/6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, 50 MP primary rear camera flanked by an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 2 MP micro distance camera, 8 MP selfie snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W wired charging.
