Although it may be disappointing to hear that Sam Raimi is no longer working spider man 4he did set his sights on another person Miracle project.
Earlier this week, Raimi addressed recent rumors that he is finally reuniting with Tobey Maguire for Spider-Man 4. Unfortunately for those who wanted one, Raimi did put those rumors to rest as he didn’t make a sequel. However, in a recent interview with ScreenGeek, he was asked about another rumor involving him and a Marvel project he may or may not direct – Avengers: Secret Wars. When asked about the project, Raimi said: “I love 90 percent of the Marvel heroes I’ve read in the great Stan Lee Marvel Universe comic books.

“I would love to work with Marvel again. They haven’t legitimately asked me to do that. I want them to have a great experience with me. They haven’t asked me yet. I hope they do.” Avengers: Secret Wars ” is actually still a few years away, as the movie is expected to be released in May 2027, so it’s no surprise that Marvel has yet to name a director. In addition to the original Spider-Man trilogy, Raimi actually directed one Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , which, let’s be honest, was a mediocre movie. But I think that’s just the curse of trying to make Marvel movies these days.
Technically, there was another Avengers movie before Secret Wars, The Dynasty of Kang, but Marvel Studios is reportedly no longer considering Kang as the cinematic universe’s big villain, so Who knows what the outcome will be. It’s unclear what the Secret Wars movie will be like; it’s apparently based on the 1984 comic of the same name, which saw a cosmic entity called Beyond gathering heroes and pitting them against each other. But the MCU is currently in its multiverse phase, so maybe they’ll take it from the 2015 comic of the same name.
Currently, the only blockbuster film released in the Marvel Universe this year is “Deadpool and Wolverine,” which will be released in July this year.
