Poco X6 Neo hands-on review

introduce

Poco X6 Neo is the most affordable model in the X6 series. The other models in the series, the X6 and X6 Pro, borrow some details from Xiaomi’s Redmi series of devices. Regardless, however, the X6 Neo is essentially the Redmi Note 13R Pro, but with a different name. Since we haven’t seen this model yet, we can say that this is a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

As the cheaper model in the range, the X6 Neo loses some of the benefits of the more expensive models. There’s only one usable camera on the back, and the chip is downgraded to a MediaTek Dimensity 6080. Still, there are some interesting things to look forward to, such as what is claimed to be the thinnest design of any Poco device, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and lossless 3x zoom on the 108MP camera.

Prices start at INR 15,999 (approximately $192), making it slightly cheaper than the X6 and X6 Pro. Let’s see what you get for the money.

Unboxing

The Poco X6 Neo comes in the usual black and yellow Poco packaging. Inside is the phone, 33W charger and USB-A to USB-C cable.

A black silicone case is also included in the box. The case doesn’t add much thickness to the phone, and there’s a handy fingerprint sensor cutout for the power button, which makes it easy to find the button without having to look. The USB port also has a flip-up cover, which is a little too stiff. However, purely for aesthetic reasons, the case leaves a sizable opening for the camera on the back, making this area vulnerable to damage.
