If you missed it – which is increasingly unlikely given the sport’s popularity during this tournament – it’s a fantastic game. UConn did a good job of containing Clark, but the star’s teammates stepped up in the spotlight.

The whole game was tense and the discussion online was great. It was fascinating to see Iowa – a No. 1 seed but historically weak program promoted by a great player – take on the legendary UConn. People online loved it.

However, there is some controversy. A final offensive foul against UConn decided the game. Most didn’t think the play was fouled — UConn set a very simple mobile screen — but people thought the call shouldn’t have been made in the final moments of the game. But in the end, it was a foul and the penalty was called. That pretty much did it all for Iowa.

Some joked and speculated that ESPN wanted Clark to make the finals. Others pointed out the foul and that the penalty was correct. The debate continued as of Saturday afternoon.

what’s next? Iowa State will face the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday to decide the championship. This will definitely be an interesting game. Sure, the Hawkeyes have Clark, but South Carolina hasn’t lost a game all year. It’s going to be a fierce showdown, and you can rest assured that people will be debating it online.
